Recipe ingredients
- 1½ cups (375 mL) water
- 2 tsp. (10 mL) Knorr Instant Chicken Stock Mix
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 medium Irresistibles potatoes*
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) all-purpose flour*
- 1½ cups (375 mL) shredded Gruyère*
- ½ cup (125 mL) coarsely grated Asiago cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a pot, combine water, Knorr Instant Chicken Stock Mix and garlic.
Bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, peel potatoes and slice no thicker than ¼ inch (0.5 cm).
In a deep 9-in. (23-cm) pie plate, layer potatoes overlapping slightly and sprinkling each layer with flour.
Place pie plate on a baking sheet. Slowly pour chicken broth mixture over potatoes. Sprinkle cheeses over top.
Cover loosely with foil.
Bake in centre of oven 1 hour.
Remove foil and continue to bake until potatoes are very tender, about 30 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
