Recipe ingredients

  • 2 trout fillets, weighing 2 oz. (60 g) each
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sauce
  • ½ cup (125 mL) sour cream*
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*, melted
  • 2 tsp. (10 mL) chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) Irresistibles dill weed*
  • ½ tsp. (2 mL) Irresistibles thyme*

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
Lay fillets in a buttered baking dish.
Season lightly with salt and pepper, cover with sauce and bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until flesh is opaque.
Cover with foil for the final 5 minutes of cooking time.
Serve.

Suggestion

Tip: storage:wrap fresh trout airtight in plastic and refrigerate at 32°F to 40°F (0°C to 4°C). Fresh trout will keep 1 to 2 days..
