Recipe ingredients
- 8 slices of country bread
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 very ripe tomatoes on the vine
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil*
- 16 slices firm cheese (such as Le Migneron de Charlevoix)
- 16 slices serrano ham
Preparation
Toast the bread.
Peel the garlic and rub it on one side of all the bread slices.
Cut the tomatoes in half and rub the tomato on the garlic-coated side of the bread.
Drizzle some olive oil on the now rosy bread slices.
To serve : place the tomato-garlic flavoured sliced bread, slilced ham and slices of cheese on three separate plates and allow your guests to make their own combos, or place a slice of ham and cheese on each bread slice and cut into bite-sized pieces.
