Recipe ingredients
- 4 fresh veal portion
- Suff. qty of butter* and Irresistibles extra virgin olive oil*
- 7 oz (about 200 g ) white or café mushrooms
- 5 oz (150 g) semi-firm cheese
- 2 oz (about 60 g) baby spinach
- Salt, fresh ground pepper, Irresistibles nutmeg*
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat, quickly sauté veal steaks to colour on both sides. Season to taste and set aside on a cooking sheet.
Add oil to skillet and sauté mushrooms, and season.
Cut cheese into thin slices but of the diameter as the veal steaks. Over each portion of veal, place a few leaves of spinach, cooked mushrooms and a slice of cheese. Add pepper and cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
Serve with a tomato sauce or the cooking juices.
