Recipe ingredients

  • 2 yellow peppers
  • 2 red peppers
  • 3 oz. (100 g) anchovy fillets
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) butter*
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) olive oil*
  • ¾ cup (180 mL) milk

Preparation

Cut peppers into segments lengthways and remove seeds.
Chop anchovies and garlic. In a skillet over medium heat, cook anchovies and garlic in butter and oil. Stir in milk.
Add peppers and cook 6 minutes or so, stirring to baste thoroughly with sauce. Serve immediately.

Suggestion

These peppers make an excellent first course or accompaniment to boiled or grilled meat.
