Preparation
Drain syrup from cherries into a small saucepan, reserving cherries. Whisk cornstarch into syrup. Bring syrup to a boil, whisking constantly, until thickened and smooth. Stir in cherries. Remove from the heat and stir in almond extract. Spoon over Irresistibles Vanilla, Bordeaux Cherry or Pralines & Cream Ice Cream.
