Recipe ingredients
- 4 Irresistibles multigrain flatbread buns
- 450 g (1 lb) ground turkey
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) Selection sweetened dried cranberries, chopped
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) French shallots, minced
- 30 mL (2 tbsp) breadcrumbs
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) whole grain mustard
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) cranberry jelly
- Leaves from the centre of a romaine lettuce
- mayonnaise to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the barbecue to medium. In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey, cranberries, shallots and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Make 4 patties about 2 cm (3/4 in) thick. Transfer to the barbecue, cover and grill for 14 to 18 minutes until cooked through. Turn frequently to prevent burning, closing the lid after each turn. Spread a little mayonnaise on each bun, garnish with a leaf of romaine lettuce and then add the cooked patty.
Suggestion
Meanwhile, whisk together the whole grain mustard and the cranberry jelly. Serve this cranberry mustard with the turkey burgers along with Selection shoestring fries as accompaniment.
