Recipe ingredients
- 1 recipe Basic Chocolate
- Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting
- 4 + 1/2 bars (100 g each) Lindt Excellence 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup (35 g) cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons orange juice or liquor (coffee liqueur, rum, cognac)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) of powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups (340 g) butter, softened to room temperature
Preparation

Combine the cocoa powder and liquid to make a smooth paste, and set aside.
Beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add the melted chocolate and beat until smooth.
Add the cocoa paste and beat until smooth.
Suggestion
YieldOne 8 or 9-inch (20 or 23 cm) layer cake or one 9 or 10-inch (23 or 24 cm) springform cake. Makes 8-10 servings.
