Recipe ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 red chili pepper, split and deseeded
  • 1/2 bar (100 g each) Lindt Excellence 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate, chopped

Preparation

Combine milk and cream with vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, and chili pepper. Heat to a heavy simmer.
Add chocolate and whisk until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Strain the liquid and return it to the saucepan. Scrape any remaining seeds from the vanilla bean and whisk back into the hot chocolate.
Reheat before serving.
