Recipe ingredients
- 675 g (1 1/4 lb.) ground lamb
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 30 ml (2 Tbsp.) fresh mint, shredded
- 1 container (150 g) Saputo crumbled goat Fetos cheese
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 egg yolk
- Garnish
- 4 buns
- Store bought tapenade to taste
- 4 slices tomato
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the lamb, green onion, garlic, mint, Fetos, pepper and egg yolk. Mix well and shape into four burgers. Refrigerate.
Cook the burgers to desired doneness on the grill or in a skillet. Place in buns and garnish with tapenade and tomato.
Suggestion
In this amazingly simply recipe, the lamb is the perfect foil for the Fetos. Feel free to use your favourite cheese to enhance this tasty meat.Be careful! When cooking ground meat on the grill, never press down with a spatula or you’ll remove some of the natural juices and end up with dry burgers. Patience makes perfect.
