Recipe ingredients

  • 2 eggs* at room temperature
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) corn starch*
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar*
  • 2 cups (500 mL) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. (10 mL) lemon zest

Preparation

In a bowl, beat the eggs, corn starch, sugar and milk.
Cook in a double boiler, stirring all the time until the mixture thickens, about 8 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice and zest.
Mix well and chill.
