Recipe ingredients
- 1 cup (250 mL) fresh cranberries, washed and drained
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) sugar*
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) water
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) soft butter*
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) flour*
- 1 cup (250 mL) rolled oats*
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) brown sugar*
Preparation
Heat the oven to 325ºF / 160ºC.
Grease a 22 cm (9") baking dish.
In a large pan, cook cranberries, sugar and water over low heat.
Stir in sugar until dissolved; remove from heat and set aside.
Mix butter, flour, rolled oats and brown sugar; work the flour in with your fingertips.
spread half of the dough in the bottom of the baking dish.
Fill with cranberry mixture the top with remaining dough.
Bake about 45 minutes until browned.
