Spaghettini with Vegetable Sauce

Recipe ingredients
- 2 c. Tbsp. (30 mL) Irresistible canola oil*
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, large dice
- 2 ribs celery, large dice
- 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced
- 28 oz (796 mL) canned tomatoes*
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) tomato paste*
- To taste salt and pepper
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) Irresistible basil*
- 2 cups (500 mL) shredded cabbage
- 3/4 lb. (375 g) spaghettini
- To taste parmesan cheese
Preparation
Brown garlic, onion, celery and carrots in oil 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer over medium heat about 20 minutes.
Add cabbage and cook covered, 20 to 30 minutes.
In the meantime, cook spaghettini according to package directions.
Serve the sauce over the spaghettini and springle parmesan cheese.
