Recipe ingredients
- 1 chopped, medium onion
- 1 minced, garlic clove
- 1 Tbsp. (5 mL) vegetable oil*
- 1 lb (450 g) pork strips
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) Irresistibles soy sauce*
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) water
- 1 baguette
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a non-stick skillet, brown the onion and garlic in oil for 2 minutes.
Add the pork and continue cooking for 8 to 10 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and water. Mix well.
Simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes. Set the mixture aside.
Make small cuts along the entire length of the baguette. Then carefully remove the crumb inside.
Stuff the bread with the pork preparation. Top with the cut-away piece of baguette and wrap in aluminum foil.
Cook in the oven about 20 minutes.
Slice the bread and serve with spinach and tomato salad.
Suggestion
Pork dries out during cooking. It istherefore a good idea to avoid
overcooking.
