Apple and Cheddar French Toast Sandwich

    Irresistibles large eggs

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    2 % milk

  • 1

    pinch Irresistibles ground cinnamon

  • 8

    slices of sourdough bread

  • 2

    red apples cut into 16 slices

  • 4

    slices aged cheddar

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    Selection unsalted butter

  • Irresistibles maple syrup to taste


Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.

Add cinnamon and set aside.

Lay 4 slices of bread down and top each one with 4 apple slices and 1 slice of cheddar.

Close sandwiches with remaining slices of bread.

In a hot skillet over medium heat, melt butter.

Meanwhile, dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, moistening both sides thoroughly.

Place in the skillet and cook until golden brown, flip, and finish in the oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven, drizzle with maple syrup and serve.
