Apple Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream and Cranberry Coulis

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1 box
    (1 kg)

    apple crisp (bakery department)

  • coulis:

  • 10 oz
    (300 g)

    frozen cranberries (reserve a few whole cranberries)

  • 4 Tbsp.
    (60 mL)

    sugar

  • 8 Tbsp.
    (120 mL)

    apple or orange juice or water

  • as required, vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Put a piece of apple crisp on a plate, pour coulis around it and serve with ice cream.

In a microwave-safe dish, heat cranberries on maximum power for 4 minutes. Add sugar and liquid and put through a food mill. Strain to remove seeds.
