Ingredients

Add all
  • 4 cups
    (1 L)

    3.25% milk

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)

    italian rice or long-grain rice (not instant)

  • 190 cup
    (3/4 mL)

    apple sauce

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    almond extract

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    brown sugar

Preparation

Pour the milk and rice into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Lower the heat and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is creamy, about 45 to 50 minutes.

The milk should be bubbling gently.

Remove from the heat and add the apple sauce, almond extract and brown sugar.
