Asian Beef Heart Stir-Fry

  • 1

    beef heart

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    peanut oil

  • 1 1/2 cups
    (375 mL)

    frozen mixed polynesian vegetables

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    fresh ginger

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    chopped lemon grass leaf

  • 1

    lime, juiced

  • fresh cayenne pepper, chopped to taste

  • salt and white pepper to taste


Remove the fat and membranes around the heart and cut into cubes.

In a large frying pan or wok, stir-fry the cubes in oil over high heat.

Add the remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 3 to 5 minutes. Season.
