Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

Add all
  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    olive oil

  • 2

    limes (juiced)

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    orange juice

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    grated ginger

  • 2

    garlic cloves, chopped

  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

  • 1 pkg
    (300 g)

    frozen scallops size 15/25, thawed

  • 7

    slices bacon, each cut into 3 equal pieces


In a bowl, combine oil, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper.

Add scallops and refrigerate for 30 min.; turn scallops over a few times to coat evenly.

Preheat barbecue to medium-high.

Drain scallops and wrap them in bacon. Calculate one piece per scallop.

Thread scallops onto 4 brochettes.

Put on the barbecue grill and cook 2-21/2 min. per side.
