    uncooked boneless ham

  • 3

    whole cloves

  • 2

    garlic cloves cut in half

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)


  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)


  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    dry mustard

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    chopped fresh thyme or dry thyme 2 teaspoon (10 ml)

    onion cut in quarters

  • 3

    carrots, cut in coins

  • 3

    celery stalks julienned


Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).

Spike the ham with cloves and garlic cloves. Place it in an oven dish.

Mix the beer, molasses, dry mustard and thyme in a bowl.

Pour over the ham.

Add the vegetables and cover.

Cook in the oven for 45 minutes.

Serve with asparagus and seasoned rice.
