Canadian-Style Baked Drumsticks

    slices bacon

  • 12

    whole cloves

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    Maple syrup

  • 1 1/2 cups
    (375 mL)

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    dried thyme


Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Wrap a slice of bacon diagonally around each drumstick and secure with a toothpick.

Slip a clove between each drumstick and its bacon wrapping.

Put wrapped drumsticks in a Deep Fry Pan with Tempered Glass Lid. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, garlic and thyme together. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Baste drumsticks with sauce.

Bake 50-60 min., basting occasionally with remaining sauce.
