Chocolate and almond biscotti

Ingredients

Add all
  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    flour

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    sugar

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    cocoa

  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)

    baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (125 mL)

    Salt

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    whole almonds

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    honey

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    water

  • 2

    eggs

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C)

Sift first 5 ingredients.

Add the almonds.

In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.

Fold liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients.

Make two loaves about 8 in. (20 cm) long and about 1 in. (2 cm) thick.

Place on a nonstick, or parchement paper covered, cookie sheet.

Bake in the oven 30 min.

Cut each loaf in 12 slices and return to the oven about 20 min. to dry them

Let cool and serve.
