Ingredients

Add all
  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    sugar

  • 1 3/4 cup
    (440 mL)

    flour

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    cocoa

  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)

    baking soda

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (2 mL)

    Salt

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    buttermilk or sour milk

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    very strong black coffee

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp.

    vanilla

Preparation

Preheat the oven at 180°C (350°F). In the bowl of a pastry blender, mix all ingredients at medium speed for 2 minutes until the dough is clear. Pour the dough in a springform pan of 33 cm x 23 cm x 5 cm (13 in x 9 in x 2 in), greased and dusted with flour.

Bake in the oven for 40 to 50 minutes. Once the cake has cooled, remove from the mould and cut lengthwise. Cut a piece and split in two. Place the berries and some Chantilly cream on the bottom part. Place the other half over the fruits.
