    clementines, peeled and broken into segments

  • 1

    banana, sliced

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    seedless red grapes

  • 1

    pear, cut into chunks

  • 12 oz
    (350 g)

    dark chocolate, chopped up

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    whipping cream

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    almond essence


On a platter, arrange fruit artistically. Cover and set aside.

In a small saucepan, heat cream until tiny bubbles begin to form. Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in almond essence.

Pour chocolate into a fondue pot. Set the pot on its stand over the burner and set out the fruit.
