Chocolate Pears

Ingredients

Add all
  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    water

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    sugar

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • 4

    firm, ripe pears, peeled

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

In a pot, combine water, sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Lower heat to medium. Put the pears in and poach until tender. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips. Pour over pears to coat.
