    9 in. (22 cm) pie crust

  • 6

    fresh apples, peeled and sliced

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    lemon juice

  • 2/3 cup
    (170 mL)

    sugar

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    flour

  • 1 pinch

    ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    dabs of butter

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    melted apple jelly

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F / 180°C.

In the crust, arrange apples in a circle and sprinkle with lemon juice.

In a bowl, mix sugar, flour and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.

Dot apples with butter.

Bake on the lower rack at 350°F/180°C for 45 minutes.

Brush melted apple jelly on the apples 5 minutes before end of baking time.
