Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese and Smoked Almonds

Add all
  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)


  • 1 lb
    (450 g)

    Blue cheese, crumbled

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)


  • 1/3 cups
    (80 mL)


  • 1 pinch

    cayenne pepper

  • 60

    smoked almonds, chopped

  • 60

    dried dates


Melt cheese and butter in a pan over medium heat.

Stir in milk and flour.

Season with Cayenne pepper. Add smoked almonds.

Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slit dates lengthways and pit them.

Stuff each date with a small ball of the cheese mixture.

Put stuffed dates on a baking sheet and brown.

Serve hot.
