Exquisite Truffles

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    butter

  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    cocoa

  • 1 1/2 cups
    (375 mL)

    granulated sugar

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    whipping cream

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    liqueur (amaretto, coffee liqueur, etc.)

  • icing sugar

  • cocoa

Preparation

In a double boiler, melt butter, bringing it to a boil.

Remove from heat.

Stir in cocoa and granulated sugar.

Mix in cream and liqueur.

Refrigerate mixture until firm.

Shape into little balls and roll balls in icing sugar then cocoa.

Refrigerate.
