Ginger Baked Fillet of Sole

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    light soya sauce

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    ginger

  • 4

    green onions, sliced

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    sesame oil

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    brown sugar

  • 4

    fillets of sole

  • 1

    broccoli florets or 200 g Chinese broccoli, trimmed

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    coriander leaves

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    basil leaves

  • 1

    red chili, chopped (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Into a shallow dish, place soy, ginger,onion,sesame oil and sugar.

Add the fish and marinate for 5 minutes per side.

Place the fillets and marinade into a baking dish lined with baking paper. If you use a Chinese broccoli, place them on baking paper and top with the fish and marinade.

Cover with aluminium foil and bake for 15 minutes or until fish is tender.
