Add all
  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    milk, 1-2% m.f.

  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup
    (80 to 125 mL)

    quick-cooking oatmeal

  • 1

    fairly ripe small banana, cut into discs

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    brown sugar or honey

  • 1/8 tsp.

    ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    all-bran or bran cereal (fibre1)


In a microwave, heat the milk for 2 minutes.

Add the oatmeal, banana, brown sugar or honey and the cinnamon.

Heat for 2 minutes. Add the cereal and mix well.

Let stand for 1-2 minutes to let the cereal absorb the extra liquid.
