Grilled Fruit Flambéed with Grand Marnier

Ingredients

    mango, peeled, cut into 1/2 in. (1 cm) slices

  • 4

    slices pineapple, approx. 1/2 in. (1 cm) thick

  • 2

    bananas, peeled

  • 4 tsp.
    (20 mL)

    canola oil

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    orange juice

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    concentrated orange juice

  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)

    brown sugar

  • 3 Tbsp.
    (45 mL)

    grand marnier

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    orange rind

Preparation

Preheat barbecue to medium.

Brush fruit with oil, place on oiled grill and cook about 3 minutes per side. Remove to a platter.

Mix orange juice, concentrate and brown sugar in a small pan. Heat and pour over fruit.

In another pan, heat Grand Marnier, light it immediately pour it over fruit. Garnish with orange rind and serve hot. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.
