Honey and 6 Grain with Brie and Bacon

  • 1

    honey and 6 grain bread

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    apple sauce (optional)

  • 8 oz
    (227 g)

    mushrooms, sliced

  • 4-5

    slices bacon or veggie bacon cut

  • 16 oz
    (450 g)

    brie cheese, cut in 1/8 inch (4 mm) slices

  • pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Honey and 6 Grain into 1/2 inch (1 cm) slices and place on a cookie sheet.

Spread each slice with apple sauce if desired and cover with a few slices of mushrooms, bacon and a nice piece of brie.

Cook for 12 minutes or until bacon is cooked.

Set oven to "grill" for 2 minutes. Add fresh ground pepper and serve for brunch.
