    frozen puff pastry, thawed, or short crust pastry

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)


  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    slivered almonds

  • 2

    pears, peeled and sliced very fine


Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface. Line a 9-in. (23-cm) pie plate with pastry, cutting off excess. In a bowl, combine honey and almonds.

Cover the pastry with sliced pears and add honey-almond mixture. Bake in the centre of the oven about 30 minutes or until crust is puffed and golden brown.
