Ingredients

Add all
  • 2

    oranges

  • 2 2/3 cup
    (670 mL)

    fresh or canned mango, peeled and chopped

  • 6

    onions, sliced

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup
    (375 mL)

    raisins

  • 3 2/3 cups
    (920 mL)

    malt vinegar

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    Salt

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    mustard seed

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    turmeric

  • 2

    green chili peppers

  • 2

    cloves garlic, crushed

Preparation

Remove the zest from 2 oranges.

Remove the pith from the oranges and chop the flesh.

Put all ingredients in a pan. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until thick and syrupy.

Pour chutney in sterilised jars and cool.

Seal.
