Maple-Glazed Citrus Fruit Brochettes

    grapefruit, peeled

  • 4

    oranges, peeled

  • 2

    lemons, peeled

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    Maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    orange juice


Preheat barbecue to low heat.

Cut fruit into segments and thread them onto brochettes. Set aside.

In a saucepan, melt butter then add maple syrup and orange juice. Bring to a boil and continue boiling until the mixture forms a syrup.

Put brochettes on the grill and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Brush frequently with syrup during cooking.

Pour remaining syrup over brochettes just before serving.
