    9 in. (23 cm) pie shell, baked

  • 1/2 lb
    (225 g)

    ham, cut into thin strips

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    favourite vegetables, pre-cooked

  • 4


  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    milk or half and half

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)

    maple syrup

  • 1

    pinch of nutmeg

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • grated cheese


Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Fill pie shell with ham and vegetables.

In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together. Stir in syrup and nutmeg.

Pour mixture over ham and vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake 20 minutes in the centre of the oven. Serve hot or cold.
