Maple Syrup Dumplings

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (2 mL)

    Salt

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    sour cream

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1 1/2 cup
    (375 mL)

    Maple syrup

  • 1 1/2 cup
    (375 mL)

    water

Preparation

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Stir in sour cream and eggs and mix into a smooth dough.

In a pan, bring maple syrup and water to a boil.

Use a small ice-cream scoop to shape and drop balls of dough in the boiling liquid.

Simmer, covered, for 12-15 minutes or until dumplings rise to the surface.
