Naturally Sweet Granola Bars

Ingredients

Add all
  • 2

    medium ripe bananas, mashed

  • 3 Tbsp.
    (45 mL)

    almond butter

  • 1 oz
    (30 g)

    (1 square) dark chocolate, grated

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    walnut pieces

  • 3/4 cup
    (190 mL)

    any dried fruits

  • 1/2 cups
    (125 mL)

    oats

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    spelt or whole-wheat flour

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Grease an 8-in. (20-cm) square pan.

Combine ingredients in the order listed.

Pour batter into pan and bake for about 30 minutes.

Cut into 16 bars while still warm.

Cool and sample.

Freeze remaining bars, if any.
