Ingredients

Add all
  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    butter, softened

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    creamy peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (2 mL)

    vanilla essence

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    butter

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    2% milk

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)

    creamy peanut butter

  • 1 1/2 cups
    (375 mL)

    chopped mixed nuts

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    semisweet chocolate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a bowl, mix together the first four ingredients. Spread on the bottom of a rectangular baking pan and press down to make the crust. Set aside.

In a pot, heat the brown sugar, vanilla essence, butter and milk over medium-high heat and allow to boil for 2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and add the 80 mL of peanut butter and nuts; mix well.

Pour this mix over the crust and spread evenly. Bake in the oven for 18 minutes.

Remove from the oven, add the chocolate and allow to melt.

Let cool completely, cut into 12 rectangles and serve.
