Pork Sandwiches with Mushrooms

  • 1

    small onion, chopped

  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    fresh mushrooms cleaned

  • 1 lb
    (454 g)

    ground pork

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)


  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    fresh parsley, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    home style ketchup

  • sufficient quantity, flour

  • To taste Salt and pepper


Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.

Finely chop the onion and the mushrooms in the food processor.

Add the ground pork, breadcrumbs, parsley and home style ketchup. Season.

Blend for a few minutes or until the mixture is smooth.

Shape into 8 to 10 small meatballs.

Flour a spatula and flatten the meatballs to form small round patties.

Grill the patties for 12 to 15 minutes or until cooked throughout.

Turn patties only once during cooking.
