Ingredients

    unbaked 9 in. (22 cm) pie shell

  • 1/2 pinch

    Salt

  • 2/3 cup
    (170 mL)

    sugar

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    pastry spice

  • 1 2/3 cups
    (420 mL)

    whole milk

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1 3/4 cups
    (440 mL)

    mashed cooked pumpkin

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Blend ingredients for filling together. Line pie tin with pastry and pour in filling.

Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350°F (180°C) and bake 50 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
