Quick Chicken Stew

Ingredients

Add all
  • 3 Tbsp.
    (45 mL)

    margarine

  • 2

    onions, chopped

  • 1 1/2 lb
    (680 g)

    skinned, boneless chicken, diced

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (7 1/2 mL)

    garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp.
    (7 1/2 mL)

    dried oregano

  • 3

    potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 3

    carrots, peeled and sliced

  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a saucepan, heat Canola Harvest margarine and brown onions for about 2 min. Add chicken, garlic and dried oregano.

Brown lightly for about 5 min.

Add potatoes, carrots and water, salt and pepper to taste.

Cover and bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 20 min.
