Smoked Turkey Checkerboard Sandwich

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    prepared mustard

  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)

    light mayonnaise

  • 2

    whole-wheat bread

  • 2

    white bread

  • 3 oz
    (100 g)

    shaved smoked turkey breast

  • 2

    creamy Havarti cheese

  • 2

    lettuce

Preparation

In a bowl, mix mustard with mayonnaise.

Spread mixture on one slice of whole-wheat bread and one slice of white bread.

Divide shaved turkey evenly between the two slices of bread.

Cover with cheese and lettuce.

Top whole-wheat sandwich with white bread, and the white with whole-wheat.

Cut sandwiches into four squares, turning two over to create the checkerboard pattern.
