Spaghettini with Vegetable Sauce

Ingredients

Add all

    (30 mL)

    canola oil

  • 2

    garlic finely chopped

  • 1

    onion large dice

  • 2

    ribs celery large dice

  • 2

    medium carrots thinly sliced

  • 28 oz
    (796 mL)

    canned tomatoes

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)

    tomato paste

  • To taste Salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    basil

  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    shredded cabbage

  • 340 lb
    (3/4 g)

    spaghettini

  • To taste Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Brown garlic, onion, celery and carrots in oil 5 minutes.

Add tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.

Bring to a boil.

Cover and simmer over medium heat about 20 minutes.

Add cabbage and cook covered, 20 to 30 minutes.

In the meantime, cook spaghettini according to package directions.

Serve the sauce over the spaghettini and springle parmesan cheese.
