Stir-fried Squash with Ginger Teriyaki Vegetable Sauce

    butternut or buttercup squash

  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)

    olive oil

  • 1

    medium onion, minced

  • 1/2 cup
    (125 mL)

    heinz ginger teriyaki vegetable sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Using a sharp knife, cut the squash into sections. For easier cutting, prick the squash with a fork and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Peel and dice.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, stir fry squash and onion in olive oil. There should be 3 to 4 times more squash than onion. Season to taste.

When the vegetables are almost cooked (about 15 minutes), add Heinz Ginger Teriyaki Vegetable Sauce. Simmer about 5 minutes.
