  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    tomato sauce

  • 2 tsp.
    (10 mL)

    dried herbs

  • To taste veggie salami slices

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    sliced mushrooms

  • 2 cups
    (500 mL)

    broccoli and cauliflower flowerets

  • 0.250

    green sweet pepper, in strips

  • 1/4

    red sweet pepper, in strips

  • 1

    red onion, sliced

  • 3 cups
    (750 mL)

    grated mozzarella cheese


Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C.

Split pitas and place on a baking sheet.

In a bowl, mix tomato sauce and herbs. Spread evenly over each pita.

Top each pita with salami slices and vegetables, then cheese.

Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese browns.
