Waffles with Fruit Coulis

Ingredients

Add all
  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    fresh strawberries, hulled

  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)

    fresh blueberries

  • 3 Tbsp.
    (45 mL)

    white sugar

  • 1 tsp.
    (5 mL)

    lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup
    (60 mL)

    plain yogurt

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)

    whipping cream

  • ground nutmeg

  • 4

    belgian hot waffles

Preparation

In the blender, purée strawberries, blueberries, sugar and lemon juice together.

Transfer purée to a bowl; add yogurt, mixing thoroughly. Set aside.

In a bowl, whip cream into stiff peaks with a handheld mixer. Gradually fold in fruit purée.

Spoon about 1/2 cup (125 mL) of coulis on top of each waffle and decorate with fresh fruit.
