In a saucepan, combine strawberries and maple syrup. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add balsamic vinegar and long pepper, and cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes before adding mint. Serve over vanilla ice cream, ice yogurt or white cake.

  • 1/3 cup
    (80 mL)
    maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup

  • 12
    fresh mint leaves, washed, dried and minced

Preparation
