In a glass bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients. Set aside a portion of the marinade.Put the beef cubes and the vegetables in the remaining marinade and coat well. Cover and marinate about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.Preheat the barbecue to medium.Remove beef cubes and vegetables from the marinade, drain well and thread on brochettes, alternating the ingredients.Grill beef brochettes 8 to 10 minutes, turning from time to time.Bring the reserved marinade to a boil and simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over the brochettes.

  • Marinade

    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup
    (250 mL)
    beer
  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)
    fresh chopped rosemary
  • 2
    cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)
    maple syrup or liquid honey
  • 1 Tbsp.
    (15 mL)
    soya sauce
  • 1
    onion, minced
  • 2 Tbsp.
    (30 mL)
    green peppercorns, crushed
