Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C.Using a mixer, blend the butter, Tabasco sauce and flour.Add the cheese and Bran Flakes, and mix well.Grease a cookie sheet with butter.Shape dough into small balls (1 tbs. - 15 mL). Flatten with a fork dipped in cold water. Bake on greased cookie sheet on the top rack of the oven, 20 to 25 minutes.If you wat to make shapes out of the shortbread, lightly knead the dough. Lightly flour the dough and the rolling pin. Roll out small amounts of the dough at a time and cut out using a cookie cutter.
